This is one hero of the Egyptian revolution, he is singing the Tunisian national anthem to Central Security Forces near the Cairo Mogamaa in Tahrir.. I wanted to post this video so I can find it easily and share this historic Revolution moment...

Tahrir on Ramadan 1st - Army & Police assault on Sit-in

الفيديو ده اتصور أول يوم رمضان عند فض الاعتصام - تحليله حسب رؤيتي له :

- ضابط أمن دولة يهين شاب مصري ثم يأتي أخر (العجوز أبو شعر أبيض) يضرب فيه بالمرة وفي الغالب وقع الشاب (الكاميرا مكنتش جايبة كويس المشهد ده لقربه من العربية )...

و جه العسكري اللي شكله مش عاجبه قوي اللي بيحصل بس سكت، جه كدة زي مايكون بيداري على الموضوع..الكلام ده على الثانية ٢٢

بعد المونتاج - على نص الفيديو كدة، الشاب واضح إنه متأثر بضربه ويأتي هذا الشخص الغريب الأصلع، زي مايكون بيمسح فيه دم! وضابط أمن الدولة - مجازاً عشان الحبكة- ينظر لعربة الترحيلات بشر تقق من عينه وماسك الشاب من قميصه ببجاحة وتظلم... مشهد غريب! وزي ما يكون الأصلع بيكلم الشاب و الشاب ساكت مصاب- ثم بعد هذا يعطيه المنديل كي يمسح الدم السائل من فمه ! من هذا ؟ جيش مثلاً أو مخبرات لابس مدني وشايف إن ضابط أمن الدولة وكلاب السلطة (من نوعية أبو شعر أبيض اللي ييجي يضرب ف الزيطة) سايقين فيها شوية زيادة ؟ ولكن بعد هذا يشاور عشان يطلع الشاب في العربية.. وكل هذا المشهد وفيه واحد تاني وقف ماسك شاب تاني قبض عليه ! مستني الدور يتهان هو كمان ؟

Tahrir Square, July sit-in dismantled by Army & Police

Watching this video, where people are chanting 'People and Army are one hand' for the troops using force to end a peaceful sit-in (that started after the Tahrir June 28th attack on Martyr's families like yesterday), reminds me when the Ministry of Interior sent its central security (Amn Markazi) forces to end the sit-in of the Sudanese refugees camping in Mostafa Mahmoud sq. in Mohandessin when women and Sudanese children were assaulted and abused by Al Adly (former Ministry of Interior) men while some Egyptians gathered there were applauding. A real disaster. Thank God other Egyptians went the day after to demonstrate their sympathy with the Sudanese people and non-acceptance of what happened.

Back to yesterday's attack... Strangely, the Supreme council of Armed forces (SCAF) in Egypt announced it did not use force and only wanted to open Tahrir for traffic since it's Ramadan and bla bla bla... They seem to make Mubarak's error : forgetting Egypt is full of youngsters, very brilliant with internet and with mobiles phones that film. Yes they do film...

Those (or the heroes) who had remained in Tahrir were revolutionaries and Martyr's families, said to be afraid of returning home because of Police intimidation they are subject to in order to withdraw claims of their sons', daughters' or fathers' killing !

The sit-in, which lasted since June 28 is the longest since the jan25 uprising. The demands were those of the beginning of the revolution : Trials for Mubarak and protesters' killings (not a single police staff judged until now except one not even in custody!), purge of the system from Mubarak's party members (decision taken by latest government, appointed after July 8 protest), social justice claims such as minimum wage, ending of Military trials of civilians etc.

Even the controversial yet logic demand of having a constitution before the elections was put aside before July 8 big demo in Tahrir (which strengthened the sit-in planned that day but ahead of schedule thanks or because of June 28 events) just to please the Muslim brotherhood (MB) and Islamic political forces and get them to Tahrir on July 8th. Unfortunately, MB leaders did not back the sit-in and seem to be only thinking about political future and not pursuing the revolution. Other so called 'liberal' political parties may think the same yet the accordance between MB and SCAF is more and more felt.

Egypt revolution will last, years.. sometimes I think the most dangerous threat is Egypt's people themselves, those who are 'sick of it' as a friend was telling me, those who want life back to normal, those who never go to Tahrir and tend to believe the Army when it tells them thugs were arrested there when often they're revolutionaries who go to Military prisons. Some say 11 000 have been tried before Military tribunals since Mubarak left power.

فعل المجلس ما لم يكن متوقع، في أول يوم من شهر رمضان وقبل أن يتحول الميدان إلى ساحة لصلاة التراويح و يزيد عدد المتعاطفين مع أصحاب القضية، فض الجيش والامن المركزي إعتصام يوليو ٢٠١١ العظيم بالقوة، كالعادة.

في حركة رخيصة، إقتحم العسكر الميدان وبعض الصور توضح كيف أن الطريقة للتعامل مع المتظاهرين - علماً بأن المعتصمين الباقين كانوا أهالي الشهداء وبعض الثوار والنشطاء - لم تتغير !

جموع العسكر على مواطن شريف غير مسلح، القبض على الناس، القبض على الصحفيين... من الاخر المجلس فاض كيله بالثورة ...

برغم كل هذا وأحدث السيدة زينب المريبة - هبقى أرجع لها ممكن تكون بوادر لشع الفوضى مع إقتراب ميعاد محاكمة المخلوع مبارك - لسة فيه ثوار في الميدان الساعة الواحدة صباحاً من أول يوم من أيام رمضان.

الأحداث تثبت إن المجلس يقع، وأن ميدان التحرير - الذي أغلق الجيش حديقة المعتصمين التي تتوسطه! - هو قلب الثورة النابض الذي أصبح رمز عالمي للحرية التي كان يهتف بها عدد الثوار القليل المتواجد حتى الأن في التحرير، في وجود ملحوظ للامن المركزي و الجيش الأكثر عدداً، في مشهد يليق بعصر مبارك- ربنا يستر عليهم الثوار الشرفاء !
